A revolutionary new product is about to be launched on the market known as CWK plates, a hair stretching tool for curly, wavy, and kinky-haired girls.
The greatest thing about these plates is you don’t need to use them with heat and they stretch just as well as a flat-iron without the accompanying potential damage.
Who Invented CWK Plates?
The plates were invented by Kelechi Bradley from Humble, Texas.
After several different prototypes and a lot of testing, she finalized the current design and is ready to roll out the first set of plates in August this year but she needs our help to get going.
The project is up on Kickstarter and she needs USD 8,000. Currently, the project is at over USD 5, 000 with 26 days to go.
You can pledge from USD 1 – USD 1,000. You can also pledge from anywhere in the world.
How to Use CWK Plates
Below is a video with more information about the campaign and a demonstration of how to use the plates.
Hair type 2 -3 ladies can expect smooth results while hair type 4 ladies can expect to blow out results. Without any heat, that’s a win-win situation.
Head over to Kickstarter now to be a part of this awesome innovation for curly-haired girls! :). You can connect with Kelechi on her Facebook page if you have any more questions.
PS. This isn’t a paid post. I just really think the plates are great and I’m a backer.
Are the CWK SSS Plates a Scam?
There was an uproar about the plates being a scam in the last few weeks but that’s not the case at all.
The inventor has hit a snafu and the plates are now on hold to deal with patent issues.
They will be issuing refunds to everyone who invested in the plates. There is an extensive thread on LHCF with updates from Kelechi in there as well. You can read it up HERE.
Updates on the CWK SSS Plates
The CWK plates have eventually gone on to production and are now widely available on the CWK website. See the range of products HERE.

I was really looking forward to seeing reviews on this hair tool. I was on the fence about backing it, though, because I wanted to see results from others first to see how easy to use it would be. I guess we'll never know now. This whole patent issue is so unusual. :/

A lot of people were left disappointed with this one. We were all looking forward to trying it. As I understand, she is still working on it to resolve the patent issues. Hopefully, the plates will make it to market some day soon.
